The initial pet portrait inquiry and complimentary consultation.
After your initial inquiry with me by email or phone and if you are ready to proceed with a session, we will set up a time for a telephone consultation.
***I am more than happy to set up a complimentary phone consult even if you are not yet ready to book but want to know more!
The consultation will allow me to learn about your pet and your family and provide you the time to ask any questions you may have about the photo session.
I’ll be asking you questions about your dog’s level of training. Don’t worry - no training is essential - I simply need to know the best way to handle your best friend.
I will need to know if your dog has any fears or is reactive towards other dogs or people. Again this helps me guide the session and deal with your dog’s unique needs.
I’ll be asking about any allergies and if he/she likes toys.
If it’s for a portrait session for a senior pet or end of life session, I’ll want to know more about his/her activity level.
We will discuss your ideas and wishes for your pet photo session and what you are hoping to do with your photos. That will help me to know how to best customize your session and tailor your experience uniquely to you.
Of course I’ll also find out about the people who will be in the photos with your pet.
And last but definitely not least we will chat about the best location in the Toronto area for your dog photography experience.
As a final step I’ll be sending you a link to the agreement that is to be signed as well as a comprehensive client guide to help you prepare for your session. The client guide will cover frequently asked questions, what to wear for a dog and people photoshoot, how to prepare, pricing and more.
Then all you have to do is wait for the Big Day! Your Session.
